Nobody even knows what to think about all of the dating do's and don'ts - what can be done? What can't be done? Will she be insulted if I open the door? Is she going to expect me to pay for the whole thing? Should I pick her up? Will he call be tomorrow? Oh, it just goes on and on, ad naseum and never seems to stop. There are so many dating do's and don'ts, and they change depending on who you talk to, that we seem to be asking ourselves more questions when we are out dating than we are concentrating on what the other person is saying. And then they start to think that we are not a good listener. Should we just be sitting at home instead? Absolutely not! Use your best judgement with dating do's and dont's If you paid attention to and tried to abide by all of the dating do's and don'ts out there, you couldn't even put one foot in front of another. There are so many that dating do's and don'ts often contradict each other. So why should we listen to all of the dating do's and don'ts that we hear? Well, maybe we shouldn't be listening to them all, huh? Why do we need a bunch of dating advice to get us through the date? We weren't raised by wolves or something and have just come out of the woods for the first time with impaired speech and no social skills. At least that applies to the vast majority of us. So, forget about all of the dating do's and don'ts and do it your own way, using your own best judgement. You will be able to gauge what you should and should not do out on a date with a particular person. Some people will find some things acceptable while others will find them horrendous. Many times you can tell what type of person they are and what they can put up with, other times you just have to feel it out a little more.
