What else can inspire so much emotion as a love song? Depending on what is going on in our own lives, we either make fun of their sappiness or cry right along with the singer. Most of us are fair weather fans when it comes to love songs, how much we like them at any given moment depends on how in love we are at the time. A love song often takes on new meaning for each individual or couple. Many people have a particular love song that they call their own and that always reminds them of the moment that it was made to be theirs.

A love song evokes a lot of emotion

Sure many of the love songs that we hear will not evoke much emotion in us we know them and we listen to them, we might even like them, but if they do not hold any special significance to us then they do not have the same power as those that really remind us of other times. What a love song can do is freeze a moment in time - the memory forever attaching itself to the words and melody of whatever song we have assigned it to. A special love poem can have the same impact and make us feel sentimental as we relive the memory the poem or song is attached to.

How many times have you been to a wedding and when a certain love song is played (more and more a country love song), the whole mood changes and the happy couple is lost in each other's eyes as they share a private moment within their collective memory that has been trapped in the song itself. It can be very moving to watch and even more moving to be a part of.

Songs have a very unique way of finding their way into our very beings. A song that doesn't do a thing for someone else might just bring you to tears or to lose yourself in the past, reliving some day that is long gone. They can be almost like a love spell, taking you away from reality and into a brief fantasy of what was or what could have been, and very often what still is.
